Honor the Warriors 2010 bike ride took place 6 Nov 2010 and it was a success beyone what I could have imagined. We had 78 riders registered and almost everyone showed up despite the cool temps. The largest group (66 mile route) got off and with the exception of a few lost souls they burned up the road. Gen Stanley McCrystal and his lovely wife Annie showed up and the General bested many a guy younger by tackeling the long route.
At the last minute a great guy JB (Vietnam Era Marine) volunteered to pull our Marine Gold Star Mom through the 15 mile route on the Trident Trikes Chameleon. It was a load of work but JB was more than up to it. When all was said and done the ride was a great event and many people have already reserved their spot for the 2011 version. The Honor the Warriors Ride 2011 will take place on 5 Nov and be held at the Mint Hill Community Park on Fairview Rd in Mint Hill, NC.
